Note: Dry seasonings may be substituted for the doTERRA oils - use 1/4 tbsp or more for taste

Tip: If you want to make a whole pie rather than mini pies, this recipe will make one medium-sized pie.

A table with Thanksgiving food
The Joys of Thanksgiving

The Heartwarming Joys of Thanksgiving: More Than Just a Feast

When November rolls around and the golden hues of autumn leaves carpet our paths, one can't help but anticipate the warmth of Thanksgiving. Beyond the bountiful spread of turkey, stuffing, and pies, Thanksgiving stands as a testament to the timeless joys of spending quality time with family and friends.

The Essence of Thanksgiving

A Time of Reflection: At its core, Thanksgiving is a day of gratitude. It offers us a moment to pause, reflect, and appreciate the bountiful blessings we've received throughout the year – from major milestones to the tiny everyday joys.

The Gift of Togetherness: While the delicious food is undoubtedly a highlight, it's the laughter, stories, and memories shared around the dinner table that truly resonate. It's the soft hum of familiar voices, the clinking of glasses in a heartfelt toast, and the warm embrace of loved ones reunited.

The Subtle Joys We Often Overlook

Rekindling Bonds: With the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy to lose touch. Thanksgiving provides a unique opportunity to rekindle bonds, whether it's with a cousin you haven't seen in ages or an old friend who's become part of the family.

Shared Traditions: Every family has its Thanksgiving rituals. Perhaps it's a football match in the backyard, a specific recipe handed down through generations, or simply going around the table sharing what each person is thankful for. These traditions weave the fabric of shared memories.

The Joy of Giving: Many families make it a tradition to give back during Thanksgiving, understanding that the true spirit of the holiday lies in sharing our blessings. Whether it's volunteering at a local soup kitchen, donating to food drives, or simply inviting someone who has nowhere else to go to join your feast, the act of giving enriches the soul.

Unplugging from the Digital World: In an age dominated by screens and instant updates, Thanksgiving prompts us to put down our devices and engage in genuine face-to-face interactions. There's unparalleled joy in watching the older generation share tales of their youth, children playing together without the lure of gadgets, and friends catching up over a cup of spiced cider.

Wrapping Up in Gratitude

As the evening winds down and you find yourself nestled on the couch, surrounded by loved ones and the soft glow of candlelight, you realize that the magic of Thanksgiving isn't just in the grand gestures but the simple moments. It's in the stories told, the memories created, and the gratitude shared.

So, this Thanksgiving, as you slice into that pumpkin pie and pass around the gravy boat, take a moment to savor the love, laughter, and community around you. After all, it's these heartfelt connections and the joy of togetherness that truly make Thanksgiving a celebration to cherish.
